Jeroen Bordweijk is a former senior vice president of Unilever. He was the president of the SAI Platform, an initiative of large international food companies to develop and promote more sustainable agricultural practices. He served as a member of the Biotechnology Advisory Committee of Monsanto, the Environmental Advisory Board of Dow Agro Sciences, the Advisory Council of the Plant Sciences Group of Wageningen University & Research, and the Science and Society Committee of the Dutch Royal Institute of Engineers. He has been active as adviser to the Dutch and German governments on sustainable development policies. He is a member of the Program Advisory Committee of HarvestPlus, and holds supervisory board positions in health insurance and horticultural businesses in The Netherlands.
