PAPER: FOOD-BASED DIETARY GUIDELINES AND A HEALTHY EATING INDEX FOR ETHIOPIA: METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION

by A4NH | April 10, 2020

A4NH researchers have been working with partners in Ethiopia to help develop the country's first food-based dietary guidelines (FBDG), a country-specific tool to promote and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy diet.

This paper, published in BMJ Open in 2019, describes the methodology the researchers have used throughout this process, as well as their work to create and evaluate a Healthy Eating Index and a scoring index to monitor progress in adherence to the FBDG.
