Vegetables compose an important part of a healthy diet; they contain key micronutrients, and low intake of them is associated with higher incidences of noncommunicable diseases. A new study from researchers at Wageningen University & Research and Unilever Foods Innovation Centre, supported by A4NH, gathered data from government institutions, health authorities, and other sources, then assessed vegetable consumption and supply among adults and compared it to recommendations.
The paper, titled "Global Vegetable Intake and Supply Compared to Recommendations: A Systematic Review," was published in Nutrients in May 2020.
