UPCOMING WEBINAR ON NUTRITION DIVERSITY AND RESILIENCE

by kkeeton | June 23, 2016

Save the date, June 29, 2016 from 10– 11:00 AM (EDT, USA) for a webinar, Diversity in Nutrition and Enhanced Resilience Fair (DiNER), hosted by Margaret Mwenya, Emily Burrows and Louise Sperling of Catholic Relief Services.

DiNER fairs are an agricultural response geared to helping households improve nutrition and strengthen farming system resilience. They are a relatively new seed-linked response that allows farmers themselves to choose which crops and varieties to grow in times of chronic stress, aided through the provision of vouchers. While geared to meeting short- term needs, DiNERs invite strong private sector involvement so as to encourage sustainable supply options. This webinar reviews the experience of the CRS Mawa project in Eastern Zambia over the last few years and focuses on practical lessons/tips to maximize positive impacts.
