Workshop on Approaches and Methods for Policy Process Research

WORKSHOP ON APPROACHES AND METHODS FOR POLICY PROCESS RESEARCH

The CGIAR Research Programs on Policies, Institutions and Markets (PIM) and  Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH) are sponsoring a workshop on “Approaches and Methods for Policy Process Research” at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Washington, D.C. from  November 18-20, 2013. The objective of the workshop is to strengthen capacity within the CRPs to:

  • Analyze policy processes;
  • Use research evidence to influence/engage with policy processes; and
  • Evaluate the contribution of research to policy formulation and implementation.

The workshop format will combine seminars by external experts with experience in different sectors with presentations and discussion of ongoing work within the CRPs.  CRP researchers interested in submitting studies and participating in the workshop should provide the requested information (see attached) to Quinn Bernier (q.bernier@cgiar.org) by September 15, 2013.
