Today, IFPRI announced an open call to nominate nutrition success stories for a new initiative on “Nourishing Millions: Stories of Change in Nutrition.”

Political commitment to address undernutrition has grown significantly, and translating these commitments into action has become a leading priority. Lessons on how to improve nutrition in real world contexts are much needed. The Nourishing Millions project will bring together narratives of change, including country-level successes, notable programs and interventions, and stories about leaders and nutrition champions.

The project, which complements and links with the Stories of Change project coordinated by Transform Nutrition, will produce a book and a rich array of communication products and activities. To learn more about Nourishing Millions, visit the project website. The project casts a wide net for nominations for nutrition success stories. These may include successful policies, programs, projects, interventions, and/or innovations that have enhanced nutrition security for large segments of the population or large geographic areas. Nominations must be submitted by September 15, 2015. Nominated interventions will be reviewed by a panel of international experts and, if selected, highlighted in the Nourishing Millions global communications initiative.

Visit the Call for Applications page to learn for more information on the selection criteria, nomination process, and electronic submission form.
